What is a traditional sauna?

What is a traditional sauna?

Traditional saunas heat rocks with a wood or electric heater, creating intense dry heat (up to 110°C) with the option to add steam by pouring water on the rocks (löyly) the Finnish word for sauna steam. They need a dedicated circuit installed by a licensed electrician.
