Bench Height and Heater Alignment
The lower bench sits level with the heater rocks, so your whole body stays inside the heat zone rather than sitting below it. Both benches are positioned so every seat gets consistent, full-body heat.
Power Requirements
A 35 amp dedicated circuit is required and must be installed by a licensed electrician. This is a one time setup.
The heater does not include a power cable. Your electrician will need to supply and install the correct cabling to suit your setup.

Power Requirement

All electrical components are installed inside the cabin, under the bottom seat, never in the roof, with an IPX5-rated Harvia Fenix power box (model FX1104XC) and safety sensors fitted to comply with AS/NZS 60335.2.53.

Electrical Connection
The sauna can be assembled yourself, however the heater must be connected by a licensed electrician. This is usually a simple one time setup and is commonly completed in under an hour.
Suitable Placement
Suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. For best long-term durability, we recommend installing the sauna on a flat concrete slab, tiled surface or suitable pile foundation. Allow up to 20 cm of clearance at the rear of the sauna to ensure adequate airflow and proper operation of the ventilation vents.
Avoid Direct Ground Placement
Do not install the sauna directly on grass, soil or uneven ground, as this can affect stability, drainage and long term timber protection.

Every Nordhaus outdoor sauna is built to one standard: a genuine Harvia 6kW heater as standard, deep seating, premium accessories, proper insulation, and WiFi control included from day one.
The heater reaches up to 110C, and WiFi control lets you set your desired temperature and preheat the sauna remotely before you step inside.
A three-stage airflow system helps supply the heater with enough fresh air, circulate heat throughout the cabin, and allow stale air to exhaust from the sauna. This supports more consistent heating and a more comfortable sauna environment.
The top bench is 50cm deep, giving you more room to sit back and remain comfortable throughout your sauna session. Bench depth is one of the most overlooked aspects when comparing saunas, but it makes a significant difference to the overall experience.
We use non toxic PIR-insulated wall panels to help retain heat, maintain a consistent temperature, and reduce wasted electricity during use, backed by an aluminium vapour barrier that stops moisture from reaching the insulation. The exterior is finished with custom black aluminium batten cladding built for Australian conditions, meaning there is no need to sand and restain the sauna every six months like traditional timber cladding.
With genuine Harvia accessories included as standard, every detail is done properly from day one.

Harvia requires electrical components to sit in a cool part of the sauna, not the roof, where heat buildup can damage components and create a safety risk. Our saunas have no electrical components in the roof. The Harvia power box is installed under the bottom seat, inside the cabin, with an IPX5 rating (model FX1104XC), and all safety sensors are fitted to comply with AS/NZS 60335.2.53.

With the Harvia 6kW WiFi heater, the sauna reaches operating temperature in approximately 30 to 45 minutes. Using the MyHarvia app you can start preheating remotely so it is ready when you are.
