Warranty Policy
Limited Warranty Disclosure
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. The following warranties are offered by Plunge Therapy Pty Ltd (Trading as NORDHAUS - ABN: 35 668 106 143) in addition to the guarantees provided under the Australian Consumer Law. This additional warranty applies subject to the conditions and exclusions below, and in addition to any compulsory statutory warranties which may apply to this product.Â
Plunge Body Warranty
Nordhaus warrants the structure of the plunge against loss of water caused by defects in workmanship and materials for a period of 24 months. Cosmetic ‘wear & tear’ - e.g scratches to the acrylic is not covered under warranty & customers are advised to store & handle with care.
Plunge Cover Warranty
Nordhaus warrants the structure of the cover against damage caused by defects in workmanship and materials for a period of 24 months. Cosmetic wear & tear -Â e.g scratches, scuffs to the materials is not covered under warranty & customers are advised to store & handle with care.
Chiller/Heating Unit Warranty
Nordhaus warrants the mechanical components of the unit against damage caused by defects in workmanship and materials for a period of 2 years. One (1) year after purchase the warranty is limited to the supply of replacement parts delivered to your door, excluding installation & maintenance labor. Cosmetic wear & tear -Â e.g scratches, scuffs to the materials is not covered under warranty & customers are advised to store & handle with care.
Sauna Models (All) Warranty
Nordhaus warrants the internal & external structure of the sauna against damage caused by defects in workmanship and materials for a period of five (5) years. Cosmetic ‘wear & tear’ - e.g scratches, scuffs to the materials is not covered under warranty & customers are advised to maintain their sauna & handle with care.
Conditions & Exclusions
Warranty will be void if any of the following occurs;
Plunges;
- There is ground movements which affect the product
- The plunge has not been maintained in accordance with our recommended maintenance schedule. Maintenance manuals are supplied upon delivery.
- There is failure to follow instructions provided by Nordhaus at the time of install.
- There is failure to install the product on a suitable hard level surface.
- There is incorrect water management and/or improper chemical use.
- There is grit or foreign materials in the water, plumbing and/or pump(s).
- The product is run at temperatures exceeding manufacturers recommendations.
- There is any unauthorized maintenance, repairs, alterations or modifications.
- There is failure to strictly follow manufacturers requirements and specifications.
- There are termites, pests, acts of force majeure or events outside the control of Plunge Therapy.
- There is electrical blowout, voltage spikes or operation at 10V above or below 240V.
- The product is used for commercial purposes.
- The pipes freeze over due to seasonal climates.
- The original customer sells the product to a private buyer.Â
Saunas;
- There is ground movements which affect the product
- The sauna has not been maintained in accordance with our recommended maintenance schedule. Maintenance manuals are supplied upon delivery.
- There is failure to follow instructions provided by Nordhaus at the time of install.
- There is failure to install the product on a suitable hard level surface.
- There is any unauthorized maintenance, repairs, alterations or modifications.
- There is failure to strictly follow manufacturers requirements and specifications.
- There are termites, pests, acts of force majeure or events outside the control of Nordhaus.
- There is electrical blowout, voltage spikes or operation at 10V above or below 240V.
- The product is used for commercial purposes.
- The original customer sells the product to a private buyer.
- There is water damage to an indoor sauna model due to being used in the incorrect environment.

Coverage of Warranty
This warranty is applicable to all Nordhaus products purchased from Nordhaus directly. The benefit of this warranty cannot be transferred or assigned and is only valid whilst the product is owned by the original purchaser.Â
At its own discretion, Nordhaus shall provide free repair or replacement of any defective product or component that has been installed, used, and serviced normally, within the specified warranty period. In the event that repair or replacement is not feasible, Nordhaus may choose to reimburse the purchase price in exchange for the return of the product. Please note that replacement parts may not be identical to the original ones, and their availability is subject to change. These remedies are the only options available to you.
The warranty period for any repairs or replacements will expire at the same date as the original warranty. If on-site repairs are required the purchaser is responsible for providing full access to the product for warranty service.
Warranty Limitations
The warranty expressions specified exclude any other implied or oral undertakings. Nordhaus or its agents will not be liable for any incidental or consequential losses or injuries including, but not limited to, any building related costs. In no circumstance shall the liability be greater than the amount paid for the product by the customer. The warranty periods commence from the date at which the product was purchased.
The Limited Warranty is void if: Nordhaus or its designated representative determines that the product has been subjected to alteration, neglect, misuse or abuse, or freight damage caused by a private carrier; any repairs have been attempted by anyone other than a designated representative; or if the failure is caused by accident, acts of God or other causes beyond the control of the Manufacturer. Neglect, misuse and abuse include any installation, operation or maintenance of the product other than in accordance with the instructions contained in the owner’s manual provided with the product, including but not limited to the failure to maintain proper water chemistry and chemical balance and the use of abrasive or improper cleaners or non-genuine parts and accessories.
Limitations on implied warranties
This Limited Warranty takes the place of all other warranties, express or implied, in fact or at law. All warranty service must be performed by the designated representative using authorised Nordhaus parts. No agent, dealer, distributor, service company or other party is authorised to change, modify or extend the terms of this limited warranty in any manner whatsoever. The Manufacturer will not be responsible for any statements or representations made in any form that go beyond, are broader than, or are inconsistent with any authorised literature or specifications furnished by Nordhaus.
Disclaimers
NORDHAUSÂ AND ITS REPRESENTATIVES WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, and shall not be liable for any injury, loss, cost or other damage, whether incidental or consequential, arising out of any defect covered by this limited warranty, including without limitation, loss of use of the product and cost for removal of defective product even if Nordhaus was advised of the possibility of damage, and water damage. The liability of Nordhaus under this limited warranty, if any, shall not exceed the original amount paid for the defective product.
Coverage under this limited warranty shall commence as of the original date of purchase and the duration of such coverage shall not extend for any reason whatsoever beyond the stated time periods. These disclaimers shall be equally applicable to any service provided by Nordhaus and its designated representatives.
Legal RightsÂ
This Limited Warranty gives you specific legal rights. There are no warranties applicable to Nordhaus products except as expressly stated herein or as implied by applicable state and federal laws. You may also have other rights that vary from state to state. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, disclaimer of certain warranties, or the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages so some of the above limitations.
How To Make A Claim
To make a claim against the warranty, you must contact Nordhaus within the applicable warranty period, using the contact details below.

To obtain service in the event of a defect covered by this Limited Warranty, reach out as soon as possible and use all reasonable means to protect the product from further damage. Upon proof of purchase, a designated service representative will correct the defect subject to the terms and conditions contained in this Limited Warranty. There will be no charge for parts or labor to repair the defect, although providing access to affect the repair is your responsibility as the Nordhaus owner.
