I have noticed "Plunge Therapy" in some reviews & comments, what is that about?

"Plunge Therapy" was our original brand name, initially we launched as a cold plunge niche company with a single offering - our flagship Byron Plunge in Matte Black & Matte White. As we expanded our offerings to include saunas and other wellness products, we rebranded to NORDHAUS to better reflect our broader commitment to wellness and design.

Where do you ship?

We offer free pick-up in Sydney, along with fixed-rate pick-up options for locations outside of Sydney. A flat shipping rate is applied at checkout for all major metro areas. For deliveries to regional or remote locations, please reach out to us for a personalised quote.

How is my order delivered?

All orders are shipped using trusted freight carriers. Saunas and ice baths arrive securely wrapped on pallets and are delivered to an accessible area like your driveway, garage, or front yard. (Please refer to "specifications" section of the product page for more details regarding the box sizes and weights)

 

Carriers do not unpack or move the items inside your property unless you’ve arranged installation separately.

What are the delivery options?

  • Depot collection
  • Standard metro delivery (curb-side)
  • Business delivery (with forklift onsite)
  • International shipping (door-to-door only)

How long does delivery take?

After placing your order, processing typically takes 1–3 business days (excluding weekends and public holidays). Once shipped, delivery timeframes depend on your location, but you will recieve an email once your order has been shippied where you can than request an ETA on delivery.

What happens if my delivery is damaged or lost?

Contact Nordhaus customer support within 48 hours of delivery. They’ll help investigate the issue with the shipping provider and assist with a resolution.

Do I need to be home for delivery?

Yes, someone must be present to receive the shipment and inspect it for damage before signing off with the delivery driver.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, Nordhaus ships worldwide. All international deliveries are door-to-door via freight services. You’ll receive full tracking once the order leaves the warehouse.

How are international shipping rates calculated?

Shipping costs are based on weight, dimensions, and destination. Nordhaus passes these costs directly from the freight company without markups.

What happens if my product has a lead time?

Our Traditional Saunas use an electric heater to heat the air inside a Canadian-Hemlock cabin. Temperatures typically reach 80°C plus, with the option of low or high humidity heat, creating an intense heat therapy experience.

How often should I change the water in the ice bath?

For home use, monthly water changes are typical. In high-use or commercial settings, you may need to replace water more frequently based on usage levels and hygiene requirements.

How often do I need to replace/clean the filters?

  • Cartridge Filter

For light personal use, every 4–6 weeks is sufficient. For commercial or heavy use, clean the filter more regularly. Note that sauna users may clog the filter faster due to open pores releasing oils and sweat.

  • Hair Filter

For light personal use, clean the hair filter approximately every 4 weeks, or sooner if you notice a reduced water flow from the chiller. In commercial or high-usage settings, it’s recommended to clean the filter every 1–2 weeks to ensure optimal performance.
